This was my first time at the festival this year. and it was a blast! I was prepared to spend my summer throwing, firing and glazing, but I didn’t seem to get it done. So I spent the first month and a half of the school year making most of my inventory. While it was a bit stressful to start my twentieth year of teaching also prepping for my biggest sale yet, I learned that I can indeed find time to make in the evenings and weekends. I found it relaxing and plan to keep creating throughout the whole year.
I even found time to sew our costumes! My friend, Michelle, my daughter, Kylie, and I all enjoyed the festive atmosphere of the pioneer days. The weather was warm and the breeze was welcome. I look forward to next year when I am better prepped and the dresses are already made!
